When our company began operations in 1988, our total management portfolio consisted of 46 units owned by our president. A few years later we purchased the 350-unit portfolio of another property management company, and off we went. The word soon spread about this young, aggressive company that continued to grow steadily. It wasn't long before Ramshaw Real Estate was managing properties for the University of Illinois Foundation, local banks, and many independent owners from San Francisco to Boston and from Minnesota to Florida. Consistent, steady growth has been our hallmark as we have builtrelationships of trust with our owners and clients. We presently manage approximately 2,000 multi-family units on and off campus and approximately 300,000 square feet of office space in Champaign-Urbana.

The maintenance team includes maintenance providers who handle the vast majority of maintenance requests, thus minimizing the need for outside contractors or vendors. This helps reduce costs for owners, while keeping control and accountability within our company. Many licensed providers are on staff to assist with various tasks such as refrigerant recapturing, plumbing, and other specialties. Maintenance services are available during normal business hours; we also offer 24-hour emergency maintenance service. Maintenance is tracked by a specialized software that integrates with our professional property management software.
